This honey is obtained from honeydew of deciduous trees collected by bees, i.e. the sweet secretion of aphids or other insects that feed on the juices of plants. It is very dark, sometimes almost black with a greenish tint, and is also distinguished by a characteristic slightly resinous, spicy and mild taste.
